About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I just want to meet new and interesting people. Everyone has a story to tell.

ABOUT ME

I enjoy traveling and learning about different people and their cultures. I may seem a little shy at first, but I'm always willing to listen and talk.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've used CS for a number of years to connect to people while traveling and after moving to a new city. It's been great to meet with like-minded people who are willing to give you more than just the time of day.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too much to list. I like rock, jazz, classical, hip-hop, R&B, world, and some country music, but I won't say that I like anything. Mainly I'm a fan of classic literature and wierd/dramatic movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent my 2009 summer vacation away from teaching English in Korea in and around Terelj National Park in Mongolia, visiting and traveling with the local nomad families. It's the best trip I've ever taken, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure. Let me know, and I'll gladly give you some information.

I performed at the legendary Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland in 2005. Trust me, it's not as impressive as it sounds, but it was a lot of fun and a chance to be part of history.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you've never listened to music from different cultures, give it a try. I'm sure you'll be surprised. Some of my personal favorites are Taraf de Haidouks (Romania), Youssou N' Dour (Senagal), Le Mystere de Voix Bulgares (Bulgaria), Tinariwen (Mali), Habib Koite (Mali), Vusi Mahlasela (South Africa), and Stefano Bolliani (Italy).

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mongolia, Qatar, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

South Korea, United States
