About Me
Hey couchsurfers! I'm a 34 year old recent college grad living in beautiful Seattle. I recently spent five months abroad and met many great Couchsurfers along the way. If you're looking for a place to crash in Seattle send me a message!
In my free time I love checking out live music, playing volleyball, golfing, reading, cooking garlicky food, dining out, and wasting countless hours shopping at thrift/second hand clothing shops.
EDIT - Out of town until the end of July.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Okay here's a story... Last summer I lived on a sail boat for a month while touring the San Juan Islands and the Gulf Islands of Canada. Sailing without a GPS, I got way off course on the long trek across the Straight of Juan de Fuca. It was near dusk and we needed to find a protected place to anchor for the night. Finally, I was able to match the coastline of one of the islands with the maps we had and came to the conclusion that we were near Lime Kiln Point - a landmark in the San Juans famous for being a perfect place to see orcas from the land. About 30 seconds later we saw them! A group of 6 orcas, identifiable by their huge dorsal fins were maybe 100 meters away and speeding right towards the boat. There was no time to steer out of their path so we did the only sensible thing we could and slowed the motor to idle and watched the magnificent creatures swim right past us. Some got as close as 15 meters from the boat. It was incedible. A few soared out of the water and produced thunderous splashes as they dove back in. An experience I will never forget.
Teach, Learn, Share
My specialty is cooking Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Of course, I'd be more than happy to give some lessons :)
Eating and creating excellent meals is a passion of mine!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd say I'm the ideal guest but I try to stay modest ;) Let's just say I will go above and beyond to make hosting me and my trusty backpack a worthwhile experience. Nothing in this world is one-sided. I always feel obliged to help out with cleaning for my hosts and I really enjoy cooking for them. I spent oh maybe 12 years of my life working in various restaurants and certainly know my way around a kitchen. I can throw together a delicious meal from any random ingredients. Ok, maybe I'm a little too obsesssed with Iron Chef...
