Learning to be patient and loving to the 500 wild, sweet, traumatized, energetic, curious, angry, musical little friends who come in and out of my classroom everyday.

ABOUT ME
Even though my life has settled some since my tumultuous twenties, I still seek adventure wherever I can find it- from paragliding off mountains, caving in Belize, swimming with sharks, climbing mountains or trees, or just riding the rollercoaster that comes with teaching children.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

It is easy to travel through a city without meaningfully interacting with the people who live there- picking up bits of history from tours and taking selfies in front of points of interest. I much prefer learning about a city's life and culture through conversations with people- creating brief or lasting friendships while sharing food, space, and stories.

I love staying active- walking/running my pooch, shooting hoops, hikes, and backpacking trips.

I very much enjoy reading classics. Dickens, Steinbeck, and Austen are some of my favorite authors.
Music mostly depends on my mood. I tend to gravitate toward music that sounds like The Album Leaf, Sigur Ros, Sam Amidon, Arcade Fire, Devendra Banhart, Beirut, Eisley, Pinback, Fleetfoxes, Joanna Newsom, U.S.E, Musee Mechanique...etc. etc.
