ABOUT ME

Hm, what to put here, what to put...

I'm a pretty laid back person, and very versatile. My idea of a good time ranges from playing around on the computer to going out and having a wild time dancing. I'm a very creative person. I love to read, act, and especially write! I write poetry, non-fiction, fiction, short stories... in fact, I've written a book, 247 pages long. That'd be more impressive if it were published, but hey, I'm working on it.

I love life and all of the amazing things it has to offer, and the best of all is the people. Traveling has really changed my life, transforming me into an extrovert. I love a good conversation. There isn't much that I absolutely refuse to talk about, and I'm far from easily offended. I like to debate about politics, life, everything, but sometimes it's just as fun to talk about the stupid stuff in life. For example: Who's better, Batman or Superman?

Right now, I'm traveling abroad and working on finishing my education in the states. With any luck, I'll eventually live in Europe.

PHILOSOPHY

There's no better motivator for self-improvement than traveling. Every moment you're not moving is an experience you're missing, a sight you're not seeing, a life you're not living.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, I can't host in my home town, but I can provide company. I'm also a shameless surfer. I've met people all over the world, and I love to meet fellow CSers, be it for a couch or a cup of coffee.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wait for it, waaaait for it... couchsurfing has changed my life.

No, seriously, it has.

When I first traveled Europe in 2009, I began using couchsurfing as a means of meeting people, and I have never regretted it. Were it not for couchsurfing, I would not have the many amazing stories I have to tell. I wouldn't have become as social as I am now, or gained a new appreciation for people in general. Meeting up with the locals of any given country has truly provided me with important, cultural experiences that I otherwise would've missed.

Writing, reading, acting, traveling, surfing the internet, video games, theatre, art, dancing, occasionally drinking, eating good food, and in general, just having a good time.

I dabble in a lot of interests. I love European architecture, the human skeleton (my favorite part of Paris was the catacombs), and literature. I also have a rather dirty love affair with astronomy and physics, and I keep tabs on everything NASA related. I even choose favorite star systems beyond Sol. If I ever have a few drinks with you, I absolutely cannot guarantee that I won't start talking about the planets. Just a warning!

Movies: I'm a big fan of Spanish movies. I also enjoy Disney and good comedies. As far as TV shows go, everybody in the world should watch Breaking Bad.

My music tastes are pretty broad. I listen to anything from orchestra music to German metal. Rammstein, Muse, and Seether are favorites of mine right now. I also love electronica and techno. In my opinion, electronica is the best music to get your groove on to.

I can never list my favorite books, I have too many, but I can list some favorite authors. I definitely recommend Vladimir Nabokov, David Mitchell, Eva Hornung, Douglas Adams, Neil Gaiman, Phillip Pullman... the list goes on.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I think all of Spain can count as an amazing place. I've been to the Guggenheim, San Sebastian, beautiful Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo... and how I love it.

I volunteered at a turtle hatchery in Costa Rica and was able to hold baby sea turtles and help them out to the ocean.

I could teach you how to make some crazy awesome banana nut bread and no-bake cookies made from NUTELLA, because who doesn't love nutella? If you don't know Spanish already, I could teach that. I'd also like to LEARN more Spanish, and other languages, too.

I'm in no way an expert astronomer, but I have an amateur interest in it, so I could teach you a few things about the planets.
