About Me
CURRENT MISSION
driving from Ohio to Arizona without breaking up
ABOUT ME
We (Zach and Amanda) are two fun loving folks from Cleveland, Ohio. Both of us graduated from Ohio State University in 2009 and spent a year in Cleveland before parting ways to further educate ourselves. Amanda recently finished her Master's degree (way to go babe!) in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Arizona and will be spending another year in Tucson to complete her fellowship. Zach is a law student at the Ohio State University and had one more year before he graduates. We are taking a road trip across the country to get Amanda from Cleveland to Tucson, and are very excited for the trip ahead and the interesting places we plan to visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
LET US KNOW F YOU'RE GOING TO CLEVELAND OR COLUMBUS, EVEN IF WE CAN'T HOST, WE'D LOVE TO GIVE RECOMMENDATIONS!! We know all the best restaurants! we are very social people who think it would be a lot of fun to host travelers and show them around our city, whether it be cleveland or columbus...they may not be the tourist hot-spots, but they can be quite fun!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We couchsurfed with Stig in Hungary, Lasse in Copenhagen, Jens in Berlin, Bastien in Paris, Aurelie and Romain in Madrid, Adrian in Valencia, and Fabrizio and Patrizia in Rome - and have had the absolute best experiences! We think that its a great organization, and its awesome to see so many people interested in it. The thing we love most about couchsurfing is that it is more than just a place to stay. The experience allows you to make friends with people from all over the world, and really get a feel for the way people live in different cultures. A hostel or hotel would rarely be able to provide insight into a culture as couchsurfing does.
Interests
traveling, music, having fun, cuisine (eating and cooking), we love animals, making friends, reading, learning new cultures, running/other forms of exercise, bike riding, anything visually stimulating, exciting adventures, road trips, peace, tennis, american college football, basketball, beer, good wine, gin and tonics, hiking, the beach

Movies: Too many to even start listing...a few recent likes are Paris je'taime, A Low Down Dirty Shame, The US vs John Lennon, Factory Girl, Crash etc
Books: The Namesake, The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency (great series, hilarious), Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
zach saw a spaceship blasting off into space in florida. amanda hosted a german exchange student in high school. we both have been to the grand canyon and thought it was one amazing hole in the ground
Teach, Learn, Share
we want to learn all about cultures other than our own! Whenever possible, we would love to improve our Spanish! We haven't taken Spanish class in a few years, so our skills aren't so good anymore...
We can teach about our own culture (especially the Ohio State University traditions!), and share cooking/recipes that we love. And if you are surfing with us (or if you've got two tennis racquets and we're surfing with you) we can teach you tennis - though we are a bit rusty! And if anyone wants to practice their English, we're happy to help!
