Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, I'm mostly attending meetings and events and hanging out with people I've met trough couchsurfing. Since my living space is pretty small at the moment I can't really host, but hopefully I'll find myself a bigger place this year so I can actually get a couch in there :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Actually just recently had my first experience couchsurfing for a weekend in Brugge. This was a very positive experience, as the couch was actually a complete guesthouse! We probably had the best CS host in Brugge (no offence to other hosts there ;)), and he showed us around the city and invited us over for a lovely breakfast in the morning.

The monthly Utrecht meetings are always a lot of fun, and recently our own Talk Like a Pirate day event/party was a great success thanks to the CS-ers who showed up dressed like pirates and armed with bottles of rum. Arrr!

I love books! I mostly read either sci-fi or fantasy stuff (Asimov, Frank Herbert, Philip K. Dick, Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, Naomi Novik) or history books about WWII (I have a sort of fascination with anything WWII related).

I also watch a lot of movies and can enjoy anything from silly zombie movies to deep intellectual stuff :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited New York, such an amazing city! And saw Underworld play in Central Park too.
