I've lived around the world, and now my sweet family is doing the same with me. We have three little ones and they are pretty adapt at all things new since they don't know any better lol.

I have an RN and journalism background, which helps me relate to people a lot!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined couch surfing on 3rd April 2006. But I have stayed with Maoris, hippies, eighty-year-olds, farmers etc. before becoming a member :) I was so touched by the experience, the fun and the kindness that I signed up and hosted many, some of whom became wonderful friends when I returned to Australia. I love meeting new people.

Interests

I'm interested in way too many things.. from the mundane to the obvious- sometimes really chill and sometimes extremely crazy. Usually everything's pretty much great with good company *that's you*! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies with a touch of reality... such as "Eat Drink Man Woman" (made in 1994) which was the best Chinese movie I've seen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked 82 km in 4 and a half days... (uhhh that's an amazing feat to me :P)... climbed Mount Beerwah with no climbing or athletic experience--it was a full moon's night and had rained and I even had beer at the pinnacle... Dived in the Great Barrier Reef and was amidst 60 odd sharks- "Look Mom *NO CAGE!!*" :P... ate a raw sea urchin straight up from its dead coconut body... danced the light fandango nude at night in Straddie Island in the thick of winter.... Key part of a team to win and work on the Singapore National Health Portal tender covering apprx. 4.5 million Singaporean residents- I'm honored to contribute to Singapore... Road-tripped through southern US from South Carolina to Las Vegas in 3 weeks covering 6000 miles, been a bridesmaid 4 times, now married, skied for the first time in Vail on the day where snow is thickest since the 1920s... gave birth ( that was quite the experience) and moved across the world twice with a newborn, had three amazing boys, bought and sold a home on my own, been in a snow blizzard and 4 hours drive later in balmy 24 degree Celsius weather, also worked at the front line through the deadly SARS epidemic in 2003 etc....

I have a background in nursing and journalism so maybe we can talk a lot about work :P Or if you have an injury and you need someone to take care of you, I guess I could do it(?!) Or cut the bs and just hang out, laugh and talk about some interesting things we've seen and done :).
