About Me
Hallo, hello, hola my name is Sarah. I'm 32 years old. I was working for a while but stopped to go on a solo travel in south America. It's my big adventure!
A friend I met during my travel is doing couch surfing and reminded me of this opportunity to meet great people.
This year I traveled a lot so I met quite some people and seen some places. I am very happy to share my Storys with you. Also I'm curious about these small differences we have in cultures. The other day I learned that in Portuguese you "win" a present from a friend. So it is a win to you. That made me think of other languages like German where we "receive" presents. Not that we don't appreciate them but to see them as a personal win is some what cute.
So traveling made me learn a lot about my own German culture. Because only when you learn about the differences with others you realize what culture is at all. (And yes I am German: Likes fixed appointments some time beforehand, is quite punctual, sticks to a plan once talked about it, takes offers/suggestions for real, skips courtesies/small talk, considers direcndirectness as polite, feels guilty being inside when the sun is shining...)
Apart from being German, I enjoy cooking vegetarian food, hiking in nature, chilling on the beach or bouldering.
I am a non smoker although I might have one at a party. I like pets. After my travels i will adopt a cat. (Or two). In Brasil I became a huge fan of Caipirinha but I also like a beer or Glas of wine while talking or playing boardgames. Just last year me and my boyfriend got into expert games like Arc Nova.
So far I don't have any references from hosts but we all have to start somewhere. So please consider maybe meeting me first. Looking forward to meet you!
