CURRENT MISSION

I am interested in meeting people, expanding my knowledge of the world and of people, and just getting out and living my young life to the fullest.

ABOUT ME

My name's Emily, but call me Em. I am a drummer by trade so I get to meet many people and travel a bit and I've found I am happiest while doing those things. I am a trekkie. I also enjoy driving cars, especially through puddles and/or mud. I love my family and my pets very much, I do my best to give them all plenty of love and attention. My favorite color is green. Green everything. I teach drum lessons as a form of income and I love it, almost as much as playing live concerts. I like to do outdoorsy things like barbecue, hike, fish, camp, swim.. pretty much anything in the sun is wonderful. I am not a fan of winter and/or cold weather so if and when I do travel I think it'll be somewhere warm. Also, (bit of self-promotion here) I am in multiple bands right now. If you have any interest in listening to the music I have participated in creating just let me know and I can send you links and what not!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will be looking into couchsurfing with my bands when the time comes to tour again. Hopefully we'll have a Winnebago but if not, I'll need you guys!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I went on tour a couple of years ago my band and I couchsurfed the whole way. It was, at times, kind of sketchy, but overall I had a blast and the people we met were way cool.

Music, Movies, and Books

I could go nuts with this section but for your sake I'll keep it short.
My favorite movie of all time is The Fall. It's the most gorgeous film I've ever seen.
I am a huge fan of music, I can listen to just about anything and find something to like about it.
My favorite author is probably Dean Koontz but I read an awful lot of Star Trek books too.

I'd like to learn about other cultures and people. People fascinate me. And I've learned that kindness is the only way to live, any other way is just not fulfilling.
