About Me

CURRENT MISSION
I'm working as a freelance copywriter, which is great because I get to work whenever and wherever i want, and when i do have to work, it's doing stuff that I love. I'm also learning more and more how little you need to be happy.

Currently i'm focussing on my band, Launchable Socks. We've been taking off lately, in our own modest little way. Look us up on spotify, you might like us. Hopefully that can grow into something semi-full time at some point.

So fingers crossed on that. My backup plans include: writing novels, cooking things all by myself, becoming an astronaut.

ABOUT ME

I would say i'm kinda laid back, sociable and eager for new experiences. I really like a good adventure, in whatever shape or form that may come. Sometimes i tend to dive into new and crazy ideas a bit recklessly, but i usually come out alive.
I love a good party, when the drinks and the concept of time have a fistfight in the back alley and you stagger home laughing about silly stuff all the way.
I also love staying in for talks and beers and giggles and maybe a game or something.
I love meeting new people, taking in new cultures and surroundings, and learning the stories attached to places and things. This is why i love Couchsurfing!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing has been an amazing thing to me since i discovered it a few summers ago through my brothers account. There is simply nothing like it when it comes to travelling and experiencing a country from a local point of view. How else do you get to hang out in a San Francisco speakeasy, go surfing with dolphins at 6am, get a tour of the Austrian parliament or meet a fashion designer?
I hope to start repaying the favour of all the couches i have crashed sometime in the future.

Interests

I love cooking. I do it all the time. I write about it, too!
For the rest, it's reading, writing, drinking, games (sometimes combined with the previous one), cooking and eating food, music (i play digital drums in an experimental electro chill band, and play guitar at home), snowboarding (I used to be a teacher in Austria in winter), travelling, surfing, enjoying life. There's so much to be seen still.

Trainspotting, The Big Lebowski, The Truman Show, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fight Club, Snatch, Garden State, In Bruges. There.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participating in the 2010 Mongol Rally: i drove the shittiest car i could find 12000 km through deserts and worse. Awesome, look it up if you're looking for an adventure: http://www.theadventurists.com/the-adventures/mongol-rally

Teach you how to cook Italian or Dutch food if you fancy? I love learning to cook local stuff, so if you can teach me, god yes let's dance.
