About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be a rainbow in the clouds
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nYXFletWH4

ABOUT ME

I'm a strong willed individual in search of safe places to stay in my future travels. I am currently finishing up a field season in the great north and am looking forward to the next adventure! I live for just about anything involving marine or freshwater biology and will eagerly nerd out with anyone who is curious/enthusiastic/not interested but polite enough to not tell me to be quiet while I rant about all of the awesome things in the water. In short: I'm an excitable individual who thrives on adventure and all of the interesting ways the world works. We live in an indescribably beautiful place and it is important to me to share these details with others

PHILOSOPHY

A scholar named Wang
Laughed at my poems.
The accents are wrong,
He said,
Too many beats;
The meter is poor,
The wording impulsive.

I laugh at his poems,
As he laughs at mine.
They read like
The words of a blind man
Describing the sun.
~Han Shan

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've traveled around the US a bit staying mostly with people I knew or friends of friends. Thus far I have had nothing but good experiences and look forward to other travels though this organization.

Interests

I love old movies and music especially things from the 20's and 30's. I'm also a bicycle enthusiast, I built my current touring bike which I'm very proud of. Some of my hobbies include h2o painting, reading, badminton, solo dance parties, and star gazing. My favorite activity by far though is scuba diving and/or snorkeling adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 17, I quit my three jobs and moved out west to start a new life. Ask me for more details if you're interested.

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know that the slingjaw wrasse has a 6 bar-linked jaw that protrudes completely out of its head when it feeds?! Check it out:
