To learn as much as I can about anything that comes my way.

ABOUT ME

I am a Paraeducator at an elementary school in Vancouver, USA, and love working with kids. I try to bring alternatives to kids who don't fit into our public school system by facilitating sports, music, and chess.

I am open minded and always welcome new experiences. I enjoy challenging myself both mentally and physically. I love to ask questions and learn! I want to know as much as I can: about other cultures, about cuisine, about theories, about anything!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only Surfed so far but I hope to host in the future!

I try to participate by being a good experience for every host that gives me a couch to sleep on, for every traveler who sees a sight with me, and (in the future) any surfer who I give a couch to sleep on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has been wonderful. I have met some really awesome people and it has helped me fill out this profile! In other words, it has shown me a little bit of who I am in a way and it has been a pretty fun experience.

Interests

I enjoy meeting new people and having a good time. I have grown up in the Pacific Northwest and love to hike in the mountains here as well as ride my bike and camp. I love to travel, which may be obvious since I am a CSer but I think it might be necessary to write here! I love the arts...As a musician I love to listen, play, write, and share music; I love live music, inspired music, perfect music, anything that is truly made to be good. I have a lot of fun cooking and trying new foods, luckily everywhere has its own traditional cuisine so I never have a problem with that! I also brew and make wine/cider as well as drink a lot of it too. Other arts I enjoy are pottery and drawing. I love experiencing new things, uncomfortable situations are sometimes the best because you get the most out of them. And I will never turn down good conversations.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of music, from jazz to metal. A few artists I enjoy are Sigur Ros, Sufjan Stevens, Menomena, Duke Ellington, Wes Montgomery, Paco de Lucia, Buena Vista Social Club, Pink Floyd, As Blood Runs Black, War From a Harlot's Mouth, Blue Scholars, Helio Sequence, and Fleet Foxes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked the Camino de Santiago, a 700 km trek over 31 days
I saw Da VInci's "Last Supper," absolutely amazing in person
I recieved Italian hospitality, I don't think that needs elaboration
