我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am finishing up a year of working and living in Cape Town, I have a few weeks to travel before I go back to Los Angeles. I thought I would at least use couchsurfing to to meet some new people, see what their lives are like, and experience the city from the POV of locals.

I've had several friends use couchsurfing over the years.

When I moved from the midwest to California I stayed with several people on couchsurfing. I had a great experience with my hosts who welcomed me and my dog into their homes and took the time to show me around their towns. Having a local guide to adds a tremendous personal and intimate experience to visiting a new city and learning about local culture.

兴趣

The past year in Cape Town has allowed me to spend my weekends freediving (trained through Molchanovs school in Tulum, Mexico two years ago) and I recently got Scuba certified in the Cape.

I work a ton, which involves a lot of reading and writing, but those are things that interest me.

I play soccer and go try new restaurants with friends weekly. (So many options in LA)

My weekends are split with seeing a new movie, going out with friends, and camping.

As active as I like to be, I enjoy some downtime just hanging out with my dog, binge watching Netflix, sitting in a hammock, or playing video games.

I spent a week driving around the West Coast with my dog camping at several different National Parks and Forests. Sequioa, Death Valley, Mojave, Zion, Grand Staircase-Escalante, and Dixie.
