About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting A LOT of shit done.

ABOUT ME

Well... I enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone and seem to adapt easily when I do. I like thinking that I'm truly a nice guy, but we all have monsters sleeping in our bellies.

PHILOSOPHY

Expectations are somewhat selfish predispositions that provoke pressure and discard the natural tendency to do things for pleasure.

Interests

Love to travel(obviously), being out-doors, learning new languages, reading, art, dancing, card games, board games, drinking games, -cough- games -cough-, good cinema, good music, butchering great music with my appallingly unmelodious voice... and too many other things.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: I'm really bad at keeping up with new music. Some of my favorite artists are Ali Farka Touré, Bebé, Björk, Chavela Vargas, Diamanda Galás, Edith Piaf, Janis Joplin, Joanna Newsom, Joan Manuel Serrat, Joaquín Sabina, La India, Lhasa de Sela, Liliana Felipe, Lila Downs, Silvio Rodríguez, Víctor Jara, Violeta Parra...

MOVIES: My favorite director is probably Todd Solondz. I like some of Almodóvar's work. Other movies off the back of my head: "The Reader", "Los amantes del Círculo Polar", "Hiroshima Mon Amour", "Shortbus", "Transamerica", "Io Sono l'Amore", "Lost and Delirious", "Léon; The Professional", "Ghost World", ...erm "Miss Congeniality"? haha.

LITERATURE: Alejandra Pizarnik, Jean Genet, Clarice Lispector, Marguerite Duras, Quino, José Saramago, Patrick Süskind...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know. I survived cancer, maybe that...?

Teach, Learn, Share

I've recently become a pesceterian and would like to become vegan at least on the day to day, so if you could introduce me to some vegan dishes that would be great.

I can teach/tutor Spanish and English, as well as basic Portuguese, French and Mandarin Chinese.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, China, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Paraguay, Philippines, Portugal, Saint Lucia, Spain, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City State
