I'm in my thirties, and I'm rediscovering travel after a long hiatus. So I'm very happy to be reviving my dormant couchsurfing account.

I grew up in India but moved away in my twenties and have lived in a few different places over the last 15 years. I moved to London 5 years ago, and it is now my second home.

I love having conversations with people. I have always been very curious and interested in new perspectives. And I love to learn about people and cultures that are different to mine.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

Couchsurfing has always been such a rewarding experience. I've been amazed by the kindness and hospitality of perfect strangers. And always been taken by how quickly connections can be forged with people so different than I am.

The non-transactional nature of it, in such a transactional world, has always filled me with awe and gratitude.

I've couchsurfed about 10 -12 times so far and each time I was lucky to find the hosts I did. Couldn't have asked for better. Had some great conversations, awesome walks and talks, and lovely memories to take away.

I've also hosted more than a dozen times now , although much less frequently than I used to because of my various commitments ,and those experience have been very enjoyable too.

Interessen

I have many interests - art, poetry, dance, music, cooking, science, politics , history and culture.

I love talking to people. I like reading about history and current affairs. I listen to a lot of podcasts. I am interested in politics and understanding how things work in different parts of the world. I am interested in cultures that are different from mine. I am interested in people's experiences of living in other parts of the world. I also love science, and spend a fair bit of time reading and listening to podcasts on it.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

It's rather hard to put down what I enjoy because there is too much.

I am quite passionate about music. First loves - blues, jazz, classic rock, world & folk music. I particularly like finding new music in each place I travel - It's a wonderful opportunity to explore the local music from the region.

There are too many movies and books to list and it's hard to put them in a bracket - so we'll just leave that for a conversation if we meet.

I'm not sure that I've done a lot of 'Amazing' things.

I have, however, had long, deep and wonderful conversations with people I've met for the first time. And that has never failed to amaze me.
