ABOUT ME

I am from Northwest Wisconsin. I have lived in the country most of my life. I love to be next to nature, in all its glory. I studied at the University of Wisconsin. After Uni, I decided to teach in Korea or Japan. I ended up in Korea. Currently, I am teaching in Jeonju, South Korea. I will be here until December, 2011...or I will be heading back to the states to participate in AmeriCorps. Or Grad school. The sky is the limit.

PHILOSOPHY

The one who asks is a fool for a day, the one who doesn't, is a fool forever.

Just live your life and ask questions. If you don't get the answer you feel is right, keep asking questions until you find it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a couch that someone could use if you are visiting South Korea. Currently, I am in the traveling phase and surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No experience. BUT, I am really excited to couchsurf and gain experience.

Centres d'intérêt

Sports: I love any sport, especially football and disc golf. I am a Green Bay Packers fan. I enjoy being outside and playing any sport with friends.

Traveling: I love to travel. During University, I got bit by the travel bug. I have been to China 3 times and now I am living in Korea. I cannot wait until I can travel more often.

Reading: Reading is one of my newest hobbies. I love having a book in my hands when I am relaxing. My favorite genres are history, memoirs, and fantasy. Recently, I am reading a great series by Patrick Rothfuss: The KingKiller Chronicles.

Languages: I really enjoy learning new languages. I have studied Japanese, Chinese, and Korean. I think I should have been a linguistics major.

Music: I have played the piano for 10 years and trumpet for 7. Music is part of my life.

I love hanging out with friends, video games, having a beer, running 1/2 marathons, snowboarding, concerts, backpacking, camping, hiking, etc.

Movies: Documentaries (Angela's Ashes), Fantasy (equilibrium), and TV series (Ax Men, Pawn Stars, American Pickers)

Music: I enjoy any type of music...except rap. It depends on my mood. I enjoy a lot of punk rock and ska - The Starting Line, Sum 41, Reel Big Fish, Streetlight Manifesto.

Books: I enjoy fantasy, memoirs, and autobiographies.

I went skydiving last summer. It was the biggest adrenaline rush ever. I recommend everyone to try it at least once.
