Looking for interesting things in life. Last ten years stuck in archaeology - studying, working, studying, blogging, going to excavations and telling the stories. But that's just the professional side, besides archaeology there's lots of other activities and joys :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I love to meet new people. In new places it's nice to connect and remember not only sights and visible culture, but also the people who live there.

Interests

There's lots of interesting things in the world. One evening everything you need is a book, and on the other evening you need to see your friends or go to a party. Its always nice to take a bicycle ride in the forest or visit a new country and meet lots of new people. My latest passion is listening to vinyl records, especially the ones made in the 70's - which feels like the musicians are here together in your room.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to whatever sounds good at the moment, it may be jazz, rock or electronic sounds.
Movies - I like classic crime or psychological thrillers, good comedies - like Monty Python, or the characters of Sacha Baron Cohen..
Books - currently I'm interested in the diaries or biographies of travelers. The last book I read - The last expedition of Robert Scott.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you lots about archaeology and how people lived in the ancient times. They say that lithuanian language is one of the oldest in the world, so you would have a chance to hear it and learn a few words ;)
