Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

in Ngoc Vung Island (Vietnam)
There were larger and more famous islands in the bay but I choose this one specially to be quiet. I've not been disappointed i was the only foreigner on it. I met three young vietnameses who spoke to me on the boat, few words of english, a phrasebook and some signs were the only way to communicate. They knew that there was no hotel on the island so they invited me. They came on the island to visit friends at the school. I didn't know but it was the National day, a great dinner was prepared there. All eyes were on me, so happy to have an unexpected guest from far away. After a lot of Vodka (yeah i know not really local) and a feast, the question was : where am i supposed to sleep ?
After few talks a guy gave me a ride to a house where i stayed two nights, I can tell you that those days were so rewarding in every way, I really enjoyed every moments there, I've been really lucky !

In Cagaan Uul (Mongolia) I was in Moron trying to get a bus to go further west, after half an hour trying to explain where i wanted to go, I got in one of those small bus (old russian mini bus). The place where I wanted to go was maybe 300k away but it took so long to get there, we had to stop in the middle of the night to push the bus stuck in the mud, a drunk man couldn't stop looking and laughing at me, but that was the same guy that offered me to stay at his house when we arrived in the small town !
