Hi, I’m Snorri!

I’m originally from Iceland but currently living in Berlin, where I’m working as an architect.

I enjoy meeting new people, sharing stories, and learning about different cultures. I can sometimes host and am happy to show you around the city or just share a relaxed evening at home. I love good conversations, exploring places off the beaten path, and connecting with people in a genuine way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best way to experience a place is through the people who live there. Couchsurfing feels like a way to create genuine connections rather than just passing through as a tourist. I enjoy sharing my home, exchanging ideas, and discovering different perspectives. Hosting travelers brings a bit of the world to my doorstep, and when I travel myself I hope to experience the same openness.

I really try to enjoy the simple things in life. I like to take it easy and view the architecture around me, eat nice food and spend time with nice people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoy books since I used to work in a bookstore. I would say my favorite authors would Jose Saramago, Clarice Lispector, Borges and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I enjoy modern literature just as much as classic.

I also really do enjoy films, with a wide interest from indie films to horror. My favorite filmmakers would have to be Alejandro Jodorowsky and Tarkovsky.

Went backpacking alone across western Europe, recent trip to Ethiopia and Western Africa
Spend a month in rural Japan

I would say I'm a typical Scandinavian and hopefully I can share and teach bits of Scandinavian culture. I also enjoy cooking and the simple pleasures of life
