About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Settled at home for a while to prepare for whatever comes next.
ABOUT ME
Grew up in a town of 35,000 with no roads out. I'm a big fan of trying out new things and repeating the good old things over and over. Love to learn, love to push my limits, and love to collaborate. I'm just as content lounging around in good company as I am wandering out for an adventure.
PHILOSOPHY
Try everything in life once, and the fun things twice. -Ziggy

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Nothing professional. But I do love a good couch. Or futon. Or floor. Or deck. Or the back of a pick up truck, which isn't so bad on a good night...especially in Hawaii.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had bartered for this awesome silver and stone bracelet in Morocco, and I wore it to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar in Spain. There were apes everywhere. If you stood real tall and strong like a tree, they would get curious and climb you. The tour guides warned us not to let them bite or steal our things. So this baby climbs onto my arm and looks up at me with these adorable, almost human-like eyes. And then I see her notice my bracelet. So I carefully move it around to stuff it into the back of my jeans. She notices this too. And carefully sneaks her own arm around, digging her fingers into my pocket. I shove her paw away and she bars her fangs, hissing at me, and tries to bite. I chucked that baby monkey like a football. She rolled and bounced and rejoined her gang, unfazed as if it happened all the time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am confident that the best way to progressively "Teach. Learn. Share." is through collaboration. I'm ultimately interested in filmmaking and music and always looking for friends who will share my cup of tea or have a project they want to pull together. When it comes to CouchSurfing, however, I feel like things will happen as they do. It's too much to plan for any kind of 'university' course while crashing-couch sporadically and for however long.
I love to learn, and will eagerly accept any wisdom or skills that come my way. As far what I can teach in Juneau, if it's snowing there's boarding and sledding to be done. If it's sunny, there's endless wilderness and mountains to become familiar with. And the ocean. And the islands. And if money and time permits, the rest of Southeast Alaska is well worth knowing--I've got a special place in my heart for the Alaska Marine Highway.
