About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living and traveling in Peru, but with the mind to travel the world! Heading down south to explore and hike through Chile and Argentina. Then onto South Africa, Thailand and Nepal!
ABOUT ME
I am orginally from the States, but have lived in Australia since 2009. I have developed a mixed up accent between the two and most people have a difficult time understanding where I am actually from! I live in Australia with my husband, our cat and a few fishies.
We both have travelled extensively together and separately and love the experience. The stories that come out of a travel experience are best shared with friends over good food and wine!
I love the outdoors and the ocean. I like a bit of the nightlife now and then, but always love the quiet of an early morning.
PHILOSOPHY
General love of peace, happiness and the outdoors. I love the beach (but more for the water... anything to do with water: swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, diving!) and sometimes the mountains. I especially love long hikes after they´re done ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love the philosophy of CS. Although not extra experienced in surfing or hosting, the experiences I have had are great. As a host, I just believe in allowing people to use my place as they need. I don´t always have a lot of time, so their time is theirs and I am happy to make recommendations, but not always be a tour guide. I feel the same way about surfing. It is up to the host and I am happy to be guided (if needed) or be let to my own devises.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I just joined and love the possibilities that CS provides. I haven't stayed with anyone nor has anyone stayed with me, but I am looking forward to starting soon!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Gosford Park, surfing movies in general, Fight Club, Big Daddy
Music: just about anything, but my current phase is all about John Legend, Alanis Morissette
Books: Jane Eyre, the Children of the Earth Series, some Sci Fi, a good trashy romance novel now and then, some Shakespeare
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Snorklling with seals at Eagle Point in Tasmania, Australia.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you are new to Australia, wear sunscreen! Don't think that you won't get burned b/c you will. I have pictures to prove a very wicked sunburn complete with a sunglasses outline on my face!
