ABOUT ME

I'm told that I am upbeat and cheery. Jack Kerouac and "Into the Wild" have inspired a lot of my interest in travel and adventure. I'm also very interested in other cultures. I'm a restless kid from the country and I want to learn to blend in with much different societies than what I grew up in.

I like to play college rugby, and I was very involved in musicals and plays when I was in high school. Since 2008, I've been traveling and hitchhiking whenever I have the time and money.

Lately, I have been seeing all my peers around me getting married, having kids, starting serious careers, and basically getting anchored down in the place where they are at. As for me, I'm not ready for that. I'm still young (I think?) and I can't fathom starting that kind of life yet! I need to roam, have adventures, be reckless, and see more of the world before I have a family to be responsible for.

I've been surfing all over Australia, New Zealand and South America, met some great folks, and haven't had a bad experience yet! (knock on wood)
