Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Now that I have successfully moved to an awesome couchsurfing apartment in the Boston area, I take part in hosting a great many surfers along with my fantastic roommates.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In the past I have surfed with a friend in China and used this site to meet people during my travels in France. Hosting a wide variety of interesting, fun, talkative, sometimes just straight-up characters at our apartment (Surfhaven) in Jamaica Plain. Also, feeding hungry surfers.
Interests
Reading, biking, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, exploring, clouds, swimming, waterskiing, random nostalgia, traveling, languages, cooking delicious and/or unusual concoctions, craft beer (drinking, discussing, helping my friends brew, and showering in), board games, puzzles, snowboarding, snorkeling, tea, music (alternative rock, world, progressive rock, ska, electronica, techno, metal, indie, and selections from other genres), and meeting new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbing around all of the ancient temples in Angor Wat left me with a deeper appreciation for ancient cultures and was an experience that I will truly never forget.
Watching the snow-capped peaks appear out of the clouds alongside Tiger Leaping Gorge in China was a spectacular sight and was the epitome of a long day of hiking along the gorge. China, as I would come to learn, is a mysterious and beautiful country with a wide variety of awe inspiring locations.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: English, mathematics up through calculus, map and compass skills, how to ask for help in Chinese, how to cook an assortment of dishes including Tex Mex, how to use a Mac, how to eat with chopsticks, how to tie one's shoes.
Learn: French and German, other cuisines, unknown but great sci-fi or fantasy novels, great hiking locations.
