About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world and meet new and interesting people, learn something new

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in southern California, spend time traveling as often as possible between contract work assignments. I currently reside in West Haven, CT,about 1 hr 45 by train into NYC and 2hr 15 min by car/bus to Boston . I'm usually working most weekends in Boston. My passions are languages, travel, and culture, hiking and brewing craft beer with a talented home Brewer friend Ed. When I travel, I like to meet and talk to people about their home town or the place I'm currently visiting .

PHILOSOPHY

We only have one life , so we need to live it at our fullest, no looking back. I try hard to " not have any regrets" . I believe being a gracious person helps us grow, as does experiencing new places and people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I receive updates automatically if people are interested in hosting or looking for a host wherever I'm at currently....

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Once again the Russians have saved the day ! Thanks so much Taras and Daria for introducing me to your magnificent city, Moscow ! They were the first wonderful humans to take a chance on me, and tell me so much about their city and chat and tour with me as well. I wish more Csurfers would be more honorable when I travel, many other people from other countries would not answer my messages or they would answer, plan to meet me , but make up excuses in the last minute. This is a waste of my time , if you're apprehensive or in doubt, don't . Saying you're available then changing one's mind in the last minute is not the CS experience I'm looking for .

Interests

like listening to live music, cafe's, bars, enjoy craft beers, clubs, trying local cuisine and restaurants, visiting art museums, seeing the sites, hiking, biking, the mountains and beaches, anything activ

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all genres of music, but my favorite is hard rock. I do enjoy chamber/orchestras when visiting European cities, and club music when I'm in a party mood, so it really depends the time, city , and place, and my mood for the music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I witnessed the destructive forces of "mother nature" when I lived in Mississippi and Hurricane Katrina destroyed my home. It wasn't a positive experience, but amazing nonetheless , living in Iceland was the most positive memory in my life. The nightlife, hiking it's awe inspiring landscape, my friends, witnessing the Northern lights a bunch of times simply Amazing

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge of many cities and destinations , and my California boy upbringing and culture, and my gratitude for them hosting me !
