About Me

I have been moving about my whole life and hope to land in Greenville, SC in a couple of months. I miss the traveling community, especially with all the travel lock down due to COVID-19.

Here are a few cities that hold a place in my heart
South Bend, IN
Austin, TX
Pensacola, FL
New Orleans, LA
Honolulu, HI
Paris, France
Freiburg, Germany
Kyoto, Japan
Cusco, Peru
Chicago, IL
Baku , Azerbaijan
Oxford, Mississippi

Here are the places on the top of my list to travel next, if I have the opportunity
Bali, Indonesia
Iceland
Namibia (wow! Just made it there this Spring '21!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Listen, I've been on couch surfing since 2008 and have seen it change over the years, so I want to share my views. To me, Couchsurfing is a hospitality exchange between travelers, plain and simple. As we travel we stay with those willing to host, and as we have are stationary (for however briefly), we look forward to hosting travelers.

If I have a house with a room to stay, I will always open my door. I will not discriminate against whatever purpose you have for traveling. If you are passing through and need a place to crash, that's great. If you want to stay for a week and enjoy the city, all the better. If you are looking to move to the city, or need a place to stay while waiting to move away, that is absolutely fine. The only thing I don't accept is people trying to take advantage of other people. Let's meet each other where we are at and be kind and gracious to each other.

All in all, I have made many good (lifelong) friends through Couchsurfing, and though I've had many interesting experiences, I have never had a negative experience. Let's keep it positive :)

Interests

I used to play soccer and run much more than I do now, but I am getting back into it. I maintain a journal as best I can, and always have new ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a swimming pool for about 3 years and hosted over a hundred concerts for traveling bands around the country. I CAN NOT WAIT to have another experience as rewarding as this, and will be beginning house shows at my place in Chicago starting mid February, 2018.

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied English as a college student and am happy to help improve your English, if you teach me a bit of your language.
