About Me
There are few things that make me happier than dive bars, music, and food. I enjoy relaxed, low pressure situations. I'm up for random adventures and spontaneous decisions but if I have to be convinced to do something, I won't enjoy it purely out of stubbornness.
I think the couchsurfing website lost its spirit a long time ago. But I still believe in the people that use it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When you're lucky, you can meet folks who can teach you something, or better yet, make you laugh. At the very least you can make someone's travel easier, cheaper, and more fun.
I have surfed a lot in the past (and still might, should the opportunity arise), but right now, I'm mostly interested in hosting or grabbing a coffee or beer. When hosting, I am sometimes able to show folks around, but not always. If so, it's sure to include beer, food, and the Timbers (this was written when I was still living in Portland but something tells me I would still incorporate the Timbers even if you visited in Louisville).
Interests
I enjoy concerts, gambling, reading, traveling, culture, current events, the working class, beaches, parks, jokes, booze, language, analyzing everything, and bullshitting as much as possible. RCTID.
Music, Movies, and Books
Folk music, Americana, "real" country music, and folk punk, for a start.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've always hated this question and over the years I have generally left it blank or answered minimally. I think this sort of explains why. http://global-goose.com/travel-philosophy/talking-about-travels/?utm_content=bufferf8862&utm_source=buffer&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Buffer
Teach, Learn, Share
We all have so much to learn from each other - most often we don't find out what that is until we're in the thick of it.
Unless it's learning about conning money or goods out of large corporations. If that's the case I'd like to skip all the other bullshit and just learn about that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A beer. My couch. A laugh, hopefully.
