Overview
About Me
I'm an easy going and positive guy who's interested in other cultures and likes to exchange travel experience in order to get some inspirations about where to go next☺ for me it is really enriching to get other people's (especially from people with another cultural background) perspective on life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to get in touch with locals and exchange travel information and recommendations. I'm looking for awesome people who like to share their life/travel experience as well as laughter. I love it when a guest whom I've never met before enters my apartment as a stranger and leaves as a friend :-)
Interests
All Kind of Sports (but especially international football), travelling, hiking, reading books (preferably novels), running
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite kind of music is the typical cologne carnival music which most of you have never heard of but it is a really lively type of music which always puts me in a good mood. I'm more than happy to show you some of my favorite songs.
I love reading books especially crime novels by John grisham and David baldacci. Nevertheless my favorite book so far is 'The pillar of earth' by Ken Follett which really mesmerized me. I'm always open for new book recommendations ;-)
I like movies which have a profound plot and leave you kind of thoroughful behind. But depending on my mood also some stupid road trip movies which have a good sense of humour such as euro trip or hangover 1 . Here is a selection of my favorite movies: Shawshank redemption, Batman- The Dark Knight, Blood Diamond, welcome to the schtis.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching wild orangutans in the Sumatran jungle. These animals are just so majestic and you can immediately tell that they're our closest relatives. It was mind blowing to see them in their natural environment and how they interact.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give you some insights in the culture of the rhinevalley which is quite distinct from the typical German culture. I'll teach you the peculiarities of ordering a beer in a traditional brewery place and introduce you to the local cuisine. Furthermore I'm happy to share my travel experience with you and give recommendations if asked ;-)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer you a warm welcome and a cold beer :-) besides that I can give you lots of recommendations about my city. I studied in cologne meaning I know many cheap but really good restaurants ;-) it's important to me that you get a good insight of cologne. so I'll give you tips where to go for sightseeing, for local cuisine and drinks and I'll tell you about my favorite spots and hidden gems in the city. if I have time I'm happy to show you around and share the anecdotes I know about the city.
