我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

i don't believe the problem of gentrification we live in portugal (which is probably even worst in other places) is the tourists' fault. i blame it on the tourism business. in this sense, couchsurfing is a great platform to fight against this phenomenon, because it doesn't promote people's home destruction in order to build new hotels. beyond that, it helps to build a freer world since it allows not only rich people to travel around the world.
thus, i'm on couchsurfing because it gives me the opportunity to explore the world without many costs and, of course, also to better know the places where i travel to, due to meeting with their locals and getting to know their life stories! i'm very interested in meeting people from different cultures, understanding their visions and thoughts on life, and sharing good moments with them. for me, it's a very wholesome experience to be able to host and be hosted by people with so many different backgrounds :)
