Hii, we are an adventurous couple who loves the outdoors and try to bring our dog everywhere. Her name is Iris and she is a border collie- english springer spaniel mix.

I’m from Gävle in Sweden and Elijah is from Chicago in US. We moved to Östersund in 2023 and have been to the mountains almost every weekend since. Skiing, camping, biking and hiking are our big interests.

We usually go to bed early and get up early. I’m a medical student doing my clinical-semesters at the local hospital and Elijah is working as an environmental consult often out on field trips looking for red listed species.

We like to cook, eat everything, take turns doing the dishes and enjoy a pancake breakfast. In the evenings we play board games or watch different series or read.

So, if you are a biker passing though on your route through the country or another nice traveler we would love to host you, and hear all about your adventures!

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now we are completely enchanted by the outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, listening to the 8th book right now and cought up with all the episodes that are available on Netflix.
Some other books that come to mind are the girl with the dragon tattoo - recommend!! Hunger games, how to talk to strangers, nocturnal brain, rangers apprentice and brother band.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2024 - Skiing the ”white ribbon” the length of the Swedish mountain chain 1300km. 76 days in the beautiful snow, some days -35 degrees Celsius.

2019 - Au Pair in the US, I stayed in Chicago with a nice family with 4 kids. Got to travel a little before the corona pandemic hit. Went to Florida, climbed in Needles - South Dekota, hiked in the winds in Wyoming, biked in Minnesota and canoed in Boundry Waters on the border to Canada.

2019 - Went on a 3 week hike in Sarek national park in Sweden, no trails or huts just rolling mountains and rain deer.

2017 - Month long trip to Costa Rica and Nicaragua was amazing, surfed, went up in the cloud rainforest and hiked to a beautiful waterfall.
