Hi! My name is Sofia. I've been studying Scandinavian philology at Saint Petersburg State University for two years and now I am an exchange student in Bergen, Norway.
In my free time I enjoy longboarding, strolling around Saint Petersburg, taking cool (not) photos on my film camera and planning my future trips :)
I'm also fond of literary translation and have worked with the non-profit organization "Scandinavian kaleidoscope" which provides Russian and English subtitles for Scandinavian tv-series.
I advocate for eco-friendly lifestyle and I'm trying my best to reduce consumption of plastic materials and encourage recycling in my home country.

I'm a movies lover and particularly interested in European and Russian cinema. David Lynch, Michelangelo Antonioni, Michael Haneke and Andrey Zvyagintsev are my favorite film directors.

I read a lot of literature since it's related to my future specialization and I especially like Russian and Norwegian modern prose.

I'm also keen on music and listen to everything: from Tom Waits to Arcade Fire.
