I grew up on the country side of Finland with the river flowing through our yard. My parents loved hosting huge parties where all their friends from all over the world came together. I grew up with Italians and Indians, Gypsies and Business men, and the beauty of diversity became obvious to me from early on. I love crazy spontaneous adventures but as much I love sitting quietly, having a good talk with interesting people, sharing a beautiful moment if absolute presence. I've always loved travelling, seeing new ways of life and sharing good moments with good people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people with the same openness and will to discover life. I always hope to get a local, deeper view of the places I'm passing by and meeting the people who actually live there . So what could be a better way to do that, than staying with people through Couchsurfing. As I love good conversations and people, couchsurfing is just perfect for me.

Interests

Life itself and everything in it. I'm always up for new experiences and learning all kinds of amazing things life's got to offer. I've danced since I was 6 years old and changed dance style from Bollywood to Afro and Modern dance to Hiphop, so dance has been a huge part of my life. I love sailing and the sea itself, hiking and just being in the nature. My spiritual practises have begun to take more and more space in my life, so my greatest passions at the moment must be my yoga with all the different practises it holds in itself.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh my love for books and especially movies is never ending. My favourite author must be Paulo Coelho, who on to my mind succeeds to combine an exciting storyline and a deeper meaning or wisdom. I could go on and on with movies but the ones that have a special place in my heart are Into the Wild, Scent of a Woman and A Single Man, all having captured something essential about life. A Single Man is the most beautiful movie I've seen so far, as it has it all. A moving storyline, great acting, deep thoughts and observations on life, incredible soundtrack and a visually a work of art. Highly recommended and cherished by this girl!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the best thing I've done must be my pilgrimage across Northern Spain. I walked 930 kilometres all the way to the sea, met all kinds of people and found a new kind of peace. I realized how life will take care of you, as long as you try your best, have an open heart with courage and treat people with respect and love. Along the way we started creating camino families, after seeing the same people every night, ending up to the days destination. The sense of unity and brotherhood became really strong. Everyone had a different reason for walking but we all had the same destination and needed help to get there. The people, the talks, the pain in your feet, the taste of water after a long walk. It was an experience to remember.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share ideas and experiences. I can share stories, good moments and good vibes! I love cooking, so making great meals together would be a great deal of fun. I can be quiet and in my own space, just discovering the area by myself with a great gratitude of having place where to rest my head. But if my host isn't too much in a hurry, I'd also love to discover the city together :)
