I'm Sofia! I live in Melbourne and am originally from the coast. I thrive off travel and love meeting new people, hearing their stories and sharing in beautiful interactions with strangers from all walks of life!

I'm currently studying a degree of International Studies, and am most passionate about grassroots sustainable community growth, refugee advocacy, and humanitarianism.

I love to cook. I love my family. I love live music. I love being outdoors. I love to walk anywhere and everywhere. I love to write. I love new faces. I love learning about new cultures and the world at large. I love spending time with my brothers and sisters. I don't like celery.

I think it is such an epic way to connect with the local experience. This lets people connect in such a laid back and natural way. It lets people share experiences and stories, and enriches both travellers and hosts lives in so many ways.

Going to a new place and exploring a new way of life shouldn't cost you your left foot, and shouldn't be saturated with tourist traps and fake attractions. I think couchsurfing is so much more authentic and being a part of someone else's home is such a cool and warm prospect!
