About Me
Hello! This is Sofia. I was born and raised in China and came to the US in 2019. I was an English teacher in China and I loved my job. Teaching is so fun and rewarding. :) After about two years of Au Pair experience in the US, I'm currently studying Special Education in MSU Denver for my master's degree. I appreciate little beautiful things in life, and I enjoy art, animals, nature, music, amazing people... I'm really into drawing and art these days, and will be always happy to meet up with local artists during my trip. I like being honest and sincere to people and to myself. I always enjoy traveling and getting to know new people. I'm a very curious person, just can't stop exploring myself and this world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I tried couchsurfing in San Francisco in 2020 for the first time and it was one of the best memories I've ever had during trips. It's a great way to make friends with locals during trips, and to experience their culture. I've been very active in Denver Couchsurfing community since 2022 and have met so many amazing people and made good friends. I just helped organize Denver Couchcrash 2023. It was a BLAST! Couchsurfing is a great community and I love it. People from this community that I've met are super nice, fun, adventurous, welcoming, generous... I'm looking forward to my next couchsurfing experience and to coming across more fun spirits!

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to basically everything. Music has its magic. My favorite are hip-hop, country and acoustic music.
My definition of "A great movie" is that the movie can make me laugh hard, cry hard, and can make me think. Any recommendations?
I just finished the first book of The Three-Body Problem. I always like learning new things and thinking.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I came to the US in 2019 by myself and it felt like a dream. Now it's becoming my real life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always interested in other people's life stories and in learning things from good conversations. I'm always happy to share my culture, my experience and what I've learned with others too. Life is all about experiencing, learning and growing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my life stories and some Chinese culture, maybe teach you some Chinese. If you're down I can cook Chinese food too. I'm happy to help around during my stay!
