About Me

ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Sofia! it's always very hard for me to tell people what I'm interested in, because I really enjoy trying new things, and I hate when I miss the chance to have a great experience just because it may be out of my comfort zone.

But that doesn't mean that among all the things I like to try, I don't have my favorites. I love every kind of storytelling, I'm a huge movie fan, but I enjoy other kinds of storytelling, too. I love outdoors activities such as hiking, as well as a peaceful and chatty night on a balcony, sipping wine. I'm not that much of an art fan, but I enjoy very much photography and some art shows: I like Klimt and Egon Schiele very much. And well, I love meeting new and different people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said I love storytelling, and I realized over the years how deep a person's world is. How many experiences, thoughts, opinions, people have inside of them, and how many stories they have to tell.
Furthermore, I thought I was a pretty open-minded and informed person until I didn't get to actually face opinions completely different than mine. I realized I had been somehow swimming in the same tiny pond for years, and that there was so much out there to see and, especially, understand. I realized that what I thought was absolutely, completely wrong, actually had some fair reasonings, and that sometimes it's not fair to have strong and unchangeble opinion.

So that's why I'm a couchsurfer. I want to meet people and expand my thoughts and my experiences and have the chane to see the bigger picture.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a year in Colorado as an exchange student. So different from what I thought it would have been, and one of the experience that made me grow the most. I realized what one tiny place could teach me, and I wondered...what about the entire world?

What I Can Share with Hosts

For sure I can share my experiences and my knowledge (not that I am that wise, but that little I know, I definetely share!).
