After moving to a new country, I embarked on the adventure of learning a new language from scratch and adapting to a culture as different from American or Asian cultures.

Cultural Exchange:
I am delighted to share my culture, having had the privilege of living on three continents. As a connoisseur of French cuisine and Asian fusion, I’ve savored dishes from over 35 countries and am excited to exchange cooking tips and global cuisine ideas.

Intellectual Conversations:
During my time in Boston/Cambridge, I indulged in spirited discussions about math, algorithms, programming, ML, AI, and neuroscience with my geeky friends. I sometimes miss the deep dives into philosophy, literature, history, and science. Talking with experts in their fields was always enjoyable, as it felt like piecing together a puzzle in my mind palace.

New Interests:
After this European trip, away from the academic heavyweights, I developed an interest in human interactions, emotions, micro-expressions, and lie detection.

Outdoor Activities:
I enjoy my Norwegian life, speaking Norsk and hiking, although I have yet to experience forest adventures and camping. I would love to try these activities with locals.
