Hi there!

I'm Sofia. I was born and raised in Canada with German parents. I moved to Europe a little over 4 years ago. The past few years for me have been all about exploring this planet. So far I've aupaired in Italy, lived in a few communities or 'eco-villages', did some work-exchange programs, completed my BA in Sweden, studied a semester abroad in Ecuador and traveled around South America.

Now, after currently graduating (26.06.2018), I'm looking for where my path leads to next. I'm planning on moving to Germany to find some work my field. I studied design so I consider myself quite a creative person. I also have a passion for creating sustainable solutions for the environment and people. Of course it's cliché, but I'm here to meet new people and here their stories. I'm always happy to connect with like-minded individuals on this platform.

Also, my past living situations have been in very tiny studio apartments which haven't allowed me to host anyone but I look forward to the day (soon!) where I will finally be able to host other couchsurfers. For now I am grateful for all the people and experiences I've had through this platform.

I co-founded a non-profit organization called Smoothies to Sustain. We rescue food that otherwise would be thrown out and give it a new life in the form of smoothies. We create a sustainable alternative while raising awareness, inspiring and educating people about food waste and food sustainability
