I’m Sofie, 23 years old and coming from Denmark.
I love travelling!🐝 But I want to do it in an authentic way- I want to explore cultures, nature, people🌼
I prefer to visit local spots and I often don’t care much about touristic places💜
I continue to learn about myself, others and the world we share when I travel in this way!☀️
I keep an open mind, and positivity with me, and I looove to laugh😍
I love all types of adventures, I’m easygoing and enjoy to get to know all types of different people🫶

Some of my biggest interest;
- reading
- making handcrafts (such as macramé, embroidery and knitting)
- hiking/nature
- I looove all animals and especially dogs- i have worked a lot in dogshelters and I cant wait to adopt my own dog one day.
- cooking! (And learning about food from all over the world)
- spirituality
- history

My solo journeys have given me so much 🌿🙏 and travelling keeps reminding me to not give into a hamster wheel life- but choose to do something different ❤️ This is why I prefer a balanced and slow life in peace and harmony and of course a lot of fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I keep being surprised with the amount of good-hearted and beautiful people I can meet and create friendships with all around the world.
When I travel the important thing for me is to meet and understand the people in the countries I visit.

My interest is authenticism and creating real bonds with others. I believe in common understanding and breaking down barriers through communication and friendship. This is the reason for me to be on couchsurfing💜

I love all types of different music. I can show you Danish hip hop
But I also love jazz and old rock like Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, The Band, The Travelling Wilburies, The Smiths and Pink Floyd.

I love watching movies examples:
the dogme-movies, especially Festen and The Idiots. I love Climax by Gaspar Noé, I love Portrait de la jeune fille en feu, I like Trainspotting and This Is England. Spirited away and American Beauty. And then I love everything of Tarantino especially Django and Pulp Fiction. hmm and many more I can't think of right now :)

Some of my favourite writers are Dostoyevsky, Kafka, Knut Hamsun, Karl Ove Knausgaard, bulgakov, Virginie Despentes, Georg Orwell, Vladimir Nabokov, James Baldwin. And some Danish writers I love are Carsten Jensen, Jonas Eika, Asta Olivia Nordenhoff, Olga Ravn, Jakob Ejersbo and Hans Scherfig.

I can teach Danish! And I do a lot of handcraft like macramé, so I can teach this too, and always make you a crystal necklace❤️
