About Me

Curious and kind-hearted person with a big love for cats, travels, books and people.

I am living in a beautiful green city in the corner of Germany and study psychology here while figuring out what I love to do in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a traveller, I moved around in order to nurse my curiosity for life, to meet great and inspiring people and to explore the colorful experiences different continents have to offer.

Now as a host, I want to be a welcoming spot for other travellers. I want to offer rest and peace and the little but important things that i can provide now: clean bedspace, laundry washing, breakfast, internet access. I know from my own experiences as a wandering backpacker that it can be those little things that make the difference between another exhausting always-on-the-move stay and a refreshing pit-stop to recharge one´s batteries.

Interests

I like to sit on a square of Freiburg with a friend and a glass of wine on a warm summer evening and discuss life.

I like feeling the joy of music taking control of everything and to dance with it in the crowd.

I like exploring cities and countries by aimlessly wandering around and finding myself in episodes and places and encounters with their people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to AUSTRALIA...

...was simply the best decision in my life. I did never regret packing my bags after graduation to spend a year (or, as some think: waste valuable months of my future career) in this country.

A few highlights:

Uluru roadtrip...

...with twenty crazy hilarious funny travellers from my beloved sharehouse in Melbourne.
That meant: 20 people of all different nationalities jammed up in a few cars, camping, sharing and exploring the beauty and wilderness of Australian outback together.
It combined: hilarious conversations, stupid ideas, great moments, fighting flies, desert trips and "just having a day".

Rainbow Gathering Tasmania 2016, AUS

Swimming in Victoria waterfalls (Southern Australia), scuba-diving in azure blue Fiji ocean, late-night palm-tree-accidents on an island, solo-hitchhiking for five days in Tassie, creating and launching a social project, farm parties with baby goats (make sure you do this once in your life), meteor-watching from the roof of our car, going to a fashion-party and hating it...

Teach, Learn, Share

Before I travelled, I used to read a ton of books. By traveling, I figured that listening to other people's stories of travel and life is like reading a good book as well. I would love to hear your stories.

I love to learn something new. I feel happy when I can pass my knowledge to somebody interested. Same goes for travel tips.

Wanting to learn more about urban gardening, beekeeping and I want to learn Polish. Also, how to do oil changes (update: living the student live, it´s more about bike tyre changes now ).
Apart from that, I am always open to learn almost EVERYTHING! There is hardly a thing that I am not interested in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, laughter, enthusiasm!

If you have any questions about playing traverse flute, how to do pizza-dough by yourself German-style, plant potatoes or want to learn a few chunks of my lovely tender and soft sounding mother-tongue, feel most welcome.

Furthermore, I can share the whole wisdom of my twenty-two years with you.
