About Me

I am an eager classical-concert, musical goer. I enjoy a good meal with friends. I may not be fit but, I'm willing to try out new things like experiencing different cultural events and cuisines. I giggle often apparently.

I'm quite a family-oriented person and my friends tell me I'm quite pleasant to be with but YOU can be the judge of that :)

I believe that you should treat others the way you'd want to be treated.

Be happy. Smile, always :) That's the philosophy I'd like to share with people :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why I'm here? To meet like-minded people whilst in London/Brunei and during my travels. Also, staying with locals is a much better experience and you'll learn a lot more about the city, people and culture.

Essentially, as a CSer, you're the ambassador of your own country :) and it's always a privilege to meet an ambassador ;)

To my fellow Surfers:

I would love to meet, share and listen to CS/life stories with you. Do hit me up if you'd like to share stories over coffee or a walkabout in London.

London is quite touristy in itself, so we could definitely do the usual things to see and do :) I usually check Time Out London to see what's going on, if not, I'll join you when I can in whatever activity you'd like to do in the city.

Brunei is a little more tricky in terms of transport and logistics of things but, I'd be more than happy to help out with tips and advice.

To My Fellow Hosts:

I'd like to think that I am super easy to deal with as a surfer. I don't ask for much. I'm quite neat. So long as I get to spend time with you and get to know your city, I'd appreciate it :)

I can cook some local Bruneian dishes if you're interested :) Give me tips of "Things to Do/See/Eat" in your city and I'll be off to venture out and get lost! Read the references and ask me any questions :) I'll be more than happy to answer them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCES

Had my first surfing experiences in Warsaw, Budapest and Istanbul (June 2013) and they were all just superb. I try to surf more when I travel but it seems that there are more surfers than hosts at the moment.

Joining the CS community is probably one of the best decisions I've made :) I've enjoyed meeting so many different people - whether it's hosting or just going out for a meal or coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly all rounder in Music: I listen to things from Classical to EDM. I'm open to listening to music from around the globe!

Movies: I enjoy comedy, action and thinking movies with good twists :) I'm more of an Animation person but I do love the classics too. I'm terrible with horror and suspense films but I'd still sit through and watch it, albeit with a pillow or jumper covering my face.

Books: I seem to pick up different things that interest me. Books like "Tuesdays with Morrie", "Freakanomics", "David and Goliath" and a few other Gladwell books, Coelho's "Alchemist" and some others, my most recent favourite, "A Man Called Ove", "The Cellist of Sarajevo"... etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snowboarding for the first time in Queenstown, New Zealand and looking at the view from the Look out point on The Remarkables left me in awe. The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful.

Seeing the Ka'bah in Mecca :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to tell people about Brunei and show them a good time in my little Abode of Peace. People may ask, "Brunei? Why are you going there? There's nothing to do." The Brunei CS community will hopefully change your mind about our country. We are unique in our own way, so come and find out for yourself.

I'm also a musician. I play the piano and violin from time to time BUT I'd love to share any musical knowledge with you. Pass me over some of your traditional music or famous songs, I'd love to listen to them!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook! So I would love to make a local Bruneian/Asian meal if you'd like :) I'll share whatever knowledge I have but I'd love to gain more from you!
