About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To learn what the meaning of life is.
ABOUT ME
The words, that might describe me best, is curious, respectful and thoughtful. The world and all the humans living in it fascinates me a lot, and I wish to come as close as possible to an understanding of our doings. I find the open-minded meeting with a person from another country, another culture, and perhaps with another language, to be an irreplaceable gift.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed on some couches by now, and really like the way of getting to know people and culture.
I've only hosted once, but hope it'll be more, though I've just moved into a small room in a cohabitation.
Interests
I am a very mixed person. I enjoy both reading, knitting, sewing, listening to or playing music and that kind of quiet activities, preferably in good company, and I also like being out and wild, eg orienteering, skiing, kayaking, running an adventurerace or just dancing the night away in a not very elegant style.

Music, Movies, and Books
I just love music and good stories.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the moments, I will always remember, took place in the outback of Mongolia. Some friends and I were hosted for a couple of days by a shaman woman, and this exact day, the shaman and i were sitting in the ger (mongolian nomad tent) preparing the dinner. She didn't speak very much english, but anyway we managed to talk about our interests. She told me, that she had recently got herself a television, and that she loooved Hollywood-films, and that her favorite was pepowuma. I didn't recognize the title, until she suddenly started humming the theme from Pretty Woman, and soon we were singing "Pretty Woman, walking down the streets" and so on together, each in our way, very far away from Hollywood. That moment was magic.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to teach you how to play the piano, or to knit - or of course how to say "Rød grød med fløde", which is a classic among danish tongue-twisters.
Would you maybe teach me how to prepare your favorite dish? I could use some new inspiration.
