About Me

I am 23 years old and study midwifery in the Northern part of Denmark. When I don't study I like to spend time with my friends and be active through different kinds of sports.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have tried Couchsurfing a couple of times now. I have been the couchsurfer four different countries which all were very great experiences. Besides that I have been the host one time for a Swede and met up with an Israel at a café in Aarhus, which were also a positive experiences! In conclusion I can recommend this concept to everyone and I am pretty excited to be a part of it!

Interests

As everybody else I enjoy the company of my friends. Besides that I like playing soccer for fun.

Besides that I am really interested in religion, especially Islam. This made me participate in a Danish Refugee organization where I hang out with a lot of refugees from both Africa and the Middle East. Being a part of this organization challenges my own perception of life especially when it comes to religion since I am not a religious person myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

To be honest I do not read much. I would rather go out and experience stuff than sit down with a book. I often become restless if I sit too long doing nothing. I like to draw and paint though and I use it as some sort of meditation in order to collect my thoughts and in general relax.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to Malaysia for 5 weeks which naturally taught me alot about the Malaysian culture. In general Asian culture and their mindset. As soon I can afford it I am going back!
A year ago i travelled around in Mexico and Guatemala, which was a great experience as well!

Besides that I went to a special school in Denmark for half a year, where I worked as an handicap-assistent for a young spastic man. A lot of the other students at my school had handicaps as well, but none of them were alike. This taught me a lot about how different lives can be lived and that your handicap does not have to define you or limit you.

Teach, Learn, Share

My mother once told me that the more you understand and accept other peoples dissimilarities the more you understand and accept your self.

It might seem a bit corny, but I believe this is true :-)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guatemala, Hungary, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, United States
