I'm Sofiya and I am a passionate environmentalist. In Toronto, I have been part of a variety of environmental initiatives since about 2013.
I am kind, caring, and polite. People often describe my presence as 'soothing'.

I'm also very energetic and get hyped about things related to exploring and learning about nature, music, drum circles, meeting amazing heart-centered humans, and trying new things in general!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first couchsurfing experience was in June 2020 in Missoula, Montana with my then partner - who has couchsurfed and hosted couchsurfers regularly. I didn't realize this website existed but my first experience made me more open to couchsurfing more and to also host awesome people as well!

We hung out, learned from each other, played card games, gave recommendations for places to visit and shared food. It was such a lovely experience and I want to continue expanding my life through more lovely experiences as well as give back too when the time comes.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
- I love card games! My favourite so far is called 'Peanut' which is a mix of 'Speed' and 'Solitaire'
I can teach you!
- If you're interested in a more eco-friendly lifestyle, I can definitely help with that (only will give advice if you are looking for it).
- For 3+ years, I worked as a careers and cooperative education teacher at an adult high school, so if you need something proofread like a resume or cover letter, or want to practice interview skills - hit me up! :)

Learn:
- I love learning about how the world works by learning about what people are up to and how they got there.
- I'd love to learn more about foraging, yoga, breathwork, tantra, as well as business related skills like marketing, content creation, etc.

Share:
- Food, stories, thoughts, fun hangouts, time in nature.. Open to the flow!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very conscientious person and do not take advantage of generosity.
If you host me, I will do my part (and then some - like taking care of extra dishes) to keep your place clean and respected. I am a good listener and follow instructions well.

Besides that - what I can offer is an upbeat positive attitude, kindness, and if you would like my help or feedback on anything - I would love to support and give back in any way I can!
