Overview
About Me
I am a Pre-Medicine student from the US wanting to travel and immerse myself in different cultures. I am super friendly and very courteous of other people and their space. I am outgoing but at the end of the day I appreciate some quiet time to myself too. If I am a guest at your place, please be assured that I will be extremely respectful of your home. Also, I love to cook and I am pretty good at it too, so if you let me perhaps I can treat you to a home-cooked meal!
For many years I have wanted to travel solo but was never able to do so. Last year, I decided I wanted to learn French, move to France and live there for at least a few years. Talk about adventurous!
Anyway, this summer I got a chance to visit Caen with my university and planned to venture out to Paris on my own too as a pilot trip before my big move. I am super excited to explore Paris, as this will be my first trip anywhere in Europe and also a solo trip.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I had to look for budget-friendly options for my trip and as a student who has saved up for this trip, I wanted to be able to explore several places and keep my expenses to a minimum. Also, since this will be my first trip to France and my intention from the very beginning has been to experience the French culture and be able to converse in French with the locals, I thought staying with a local would be the best way to do both. I also LOVE meeting new people and making friends with people from different cultures so my idea of an ideal trip is to be able to not only soak in the beautiful sites but to also know what the local people are like.

I have managed to preserve my own individuality despite being born in a restrictive culture.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experiences working with refugee populations in the US, Jordan and Bangladesh. I am also an amazing cook and enjoy cooking for other people. So it would be an honor to prepare a home-cooked meal that we can enjoy over some good wine and stories.
