Hi- I'm Sohee, a Seoul native and a graphic designer (somewhat) based in New York. Last year, I quit my job after three and a half years of working in a NY financial services firm to take some time off and solo-travel. I've (re)discovered my love for hiking and wildlife, and I’m now trying to incorporate this with art/design (and also just try to get as much hiking in as I can).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have always loved traveling, often solo, and I would find myself meeting so many other travelers who were so giving, even if we had just met moments before. I believe in this world of generosity, and I am striving to be an active participant.

We should be good as long as we keep our minds open, always respect each other, and communicate. I enjoy getting to know people and sharing thoughts and stories—but please know that I am an introvert at heart, so from time to time, I will need some quiet time to recharge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you Korean, practice Spanish with you, or we can play capoeira, which is a recent hobby of mine. People also tell me I give a mean back massage (nothing creepy, just so we are clear. wooo!). I also draw, so we can learn and make art together!
