CURRENT MISSION

Moving to Portugal in July 2017. Eager to explore CS community in Lisbon, Portugal and live and make new friends along the way. I want to learn portuguese and fabulousness of Lisbon!

ABOUT ME

I'd like to think of myself as a person with a sense of humour and positive nature. Friends and family describe me often with words like honest, direct, shy, reliable and stubborn. Lately also courageous and curious to live outside of my comfort zone. My personality may take time to open up if you can say that. Sometimes I just feel like listening and observing instead of taking the active role in the conversations around me.

I love listen to music. Especially pop/rock/electronic/Eurovision but I'm open to other genres as well.

Always in for eating and drinking. Coffee and ice cream are my biggest addictions.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I discovered the Couchsurfing when I was living in Montréal, Québec 2013-2014. Even thou I still haven't surfed or much hosted I attended a lot of events there and met great people from all over the world and perhaps made friends with some of them for a lifetime.

In Helsinki, I've joined some of the events and like in MTL I've enjoyed them tremendously and met people I would have never thought of meeting. With my roomie in Helsinki we also hosted and there were some pretty memorable characters staying at our couch whose visits we would have hoped to last less or more than others.

As a host I'd like to give my time to my guests - to have a drink, meal, tour around the city or a day doing something fun.
Your priority SHOULDN'T BE A FREE ACCOMMODATION. Because CS isn't about it. It's about you discovering the city/the country and its people from a local point of view. More richer perspective than staying in a hotel/hostel. I will do my best to make this happen and hopefully learn a thing or two about you and your background along the way.

I prefer 2-3 nights. If you need a long time accommodation and have a more permanent reason to stay in the city, I'm sorry can't help you there.
Hosting party people is difficult to arrange, to be honest since I don't like to go out clubbing that much.

Definitely a great way to enrich my life with new experiences, people and stories. The journey continues.. :)

Musica, film e libri

I have a tendency of following certain performers more than actual genres. Movies are for my "extra" time. When I wanna stay inside and relax so I don't follow the industry religiously but some of my favourite actors/actresses whose work I enjoy are Kate Winslet, Colin Firth, Meryl Streep, Sandra Bullock.

I'm a lazy reader. So far only Helen Fielding and Jane Austen have managed to keep me still and to concentrate on reading an actual book from cover to cover voluntarily.

Music is the love of my life. Even though I'm only capable of listening to it. Huge fan of Italian pop music and pop music in general.. anything goes apart from hip hop/rap.

My trainee and exchange student experiences in Spain. My life and goals were never the same after them. My Montréal year was huge experience..the city and its people changed me forever.

Teach: maybe Finnish..? Not sure how good I am at the teaching thing though? :D To play beans! Get you excited about Eurovision!

Learn: Languages in general. When travelling I'm keen to know what and who was here before us and what made this place the way it is today. New ways of seeing things.

(Occasionally fun) company for travels, events, eating, drinks etc. :)

Knowledge and experience about Finland, Finns, living in this country and society, naturally. Living abroad, (Spain, Montréal).

If we can get a crowd (min. 3-4 people) I can teach you to play Beans (Bohnanza)! Love that game and always looking for new people to play it with :)
