Overview
About Me
I'm half French half English, I earn my living teaching but my main activity is engraving. My partner is a skipper. I have three grown up children. I'm easy going and have the gift of being able to sleep pretty much on demand anywhere. I don't smoke. I enjoy meeting new people, talking and sharing experiences. People say I'm positive minded and can keep my sense of humour in any situation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
One of my daughters travels all over the world and uses couch surfing. She encouraged me to use it fo my trips, I travel mainly for my engraving activity now. If I can meet people with creative activities through couch surfing then that is great !

Music, Movies, and Books
Reading is a great activity ! I just plunge into the author's univers and let the rythm of the story lead the way. Biggest reads: Lord of the Ring, Jane Eyre, One hundred years of Solitude. Latest reads: Toni Morrisson, Beloved.
I'm looking for books concerning the teacher figure in fiction in different anglophone cultures for a doctorat corpus.
Music: Jazz Classical Pop...I listen to the radio alot, I love Jean Claude Ameisen, Guillaume Galiene and Denisa Kershova
I don't get to the movies very often because I live in the country but I enjoy a good funny film or an old hollywood musical.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love spending a night watch at the helm of a sailing boat, everybody sleeping onboard, the stars and the moon above and a warm steady wind in the sails, fluorescent jellyfish bouncing off the hull and a trail of fluorescent plancton lighting our wake in a greenish glow. If you are lucky you can surprise sleeping dolphins or hear far off whales singing. It's magic !
Teach, Learn, Share
I am curious about everything.
