Overview
About Me
As a child I had to move a few times which is why I feel kind of restless. I cannot stay at a place for too long and don't like routine. I love my things, and like to have them around. I like learning about different cultures and learning new languages. Spending an evening with friends, sharing a bottle of wine is something I enjoy. I like going to concerts and theaters, even if not that often. Boardgames are always fun!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's important that people from different cultures come together in order to understand one another better and be more respectful. CS is one way to do it. By hosting and being hosted one is very close and can learn a lot from the other person. I'm all about no nation no border.
Interests
I'm interested in different cultures, languages, countries. For those reasons I prefer living abroad rather than travelling. I feel like I can learn a lot more about a country, it's cultures and costums when I live there. But while I am not living abroad, I like to travel.
I'm also interested in politics and I try to help the ones in need. As for now I mostly help refugees learning the language, finding an apartment and so on.
Nature is an important thing for me too. I love being outside. During the week I go for a run, I swim in the summer, ride my bicycle to work. On the weekend I like going hiking or spending the day in a park or the forest.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Jazz and Blues and music from West Africa. I enjoy music from the Balkans, Greece and the Arab world. I don't follow the music played on the radio that much and really hate techno, hiphop, rap, electro, house...
When it comes to books I can be quite picky. If I don't like the way a book is written, I won't read it. I guess I mostly read German, Arab and African literature.
Big screen movies are not really my thing, I like movies with a meaning, and an ending to think about.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My trip to west africa. I spent three months in togo and I travelled around for 2 weeks visiting Benin, Niger and Burkina Faso. The craziest thing was when we had a cow on the roof of the bus!
