ABOUT ME

I am a biologist, studied wildlife conservation in Christchurch, New Zealand, and have been working with birds for several years. I am eco-minded, like to grow my own food (if I'm not travelling), love the outdoors (hiking, camping, fishing/hunting), anything that has to do with survival and sustainability, building stuff, watching documentaries, cooking/baking, socialising and meeting new people.

I live with my partner Manuel ( https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2972220/profile) and our 23 months old boy, Luca, who is always happy to meet new people, too :)

I am not vegetarian but try to eat ethically as much as I can. Preferrably, I like to know where the meat that I eat comes from, so that extends - whenever the opportunity arises - from raising my own chickens and eating them to collecting fresh roadkills :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In my old flat in Lyttelton, New Zealand, my flatmates and I have hosted a number of people in the past. During my travels, I've also had the chance to crash on other people's couches every now and then, and it's been great so far!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've had a number of couchsurfers coming through and staying with us in my old flat, but it's been quite a while!

Sailed from New Zealand to Tahiti - 11 and a half days on a 55ft catamaran with only two other people, an amazing adventure :)
