ABOUT ME

I'm a french teacher, and am all about politics and literature... I have a passionate taste for argumentative discussion and I have a clear tendancy to dramaqueen around. I'm a feminist, a former punk, and so on. I smoke, drink coffee, eat meat and smelly cheese, drink red dry wine and I am yogaphobic . And I'm definitely too talkative (professional distortion...)

PHILOSOPHY

ABOUT NEUTRAL REFERENCES : I should say that I only give neutral references to everybody (including my parents and my closest friends). I have more than 10 neutral references myself, and if all of them were as beautifully written as these ones, I would be the proudest person on CS. I don't belong to this community to collect "positive" references, and sometimes, the so-called positive ones are just negative ones in disguise ("X is a nice person, laid-back and easy-going.") Nobody dares to give negative references because they fire back at you, right ? I simply prefer to write what happened, how I felt with my host/guest. Please, don't be angry at me, it's really not personal ! (I felt obliged to write this note about it because some of my guests/hosts complained)And otherwise, my personal philosophy could be summed up like this : "L'acte est vierge, même répété" (René Char)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS is an important part of my life. I met a lot of my true friends in Cluj thanks to it... from Cluj, from everywhere.I like to organize CS events, and just simply to help newcomers to feel at ease during meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Maybe the best one was in Skopje, Macedonia, where I met 5 boys doing a "Balkan Tour" to collect music and instruments. We met by chance and spent the night from bar to bar, singing french songs and playing music. Around 5, I began to feel tired and decided to go home. I asked them where they were going to sleep and they said : in the car. So,I took the 5 of them home, feeling like Snow White after an audit, and fixed some beds. The day after, we all went to Chutka, the most important Rom village of the Balkans, and played music and danced with Rom. That was the best thing.
Since that day, I hosted many people through CS, and have been hosted too, and so far, I love it...

Música, películas y libros

Movies: I watch a lot of movies, all the time. It helps to procrastinate and still feel good about it. Some of my favorite movies are : the Night of the hunter, Brazil, You and me and everyone we know, Dellamore dellamorte, The attack of the giant moussaka...

Books: Kawabata, Haruki Murakami,Palahniuk,Paul Auster, Philipp Roth, Irvine Welsh, Eugenides, Terry Pratchett, Perec, Queneau, Dumas, Stendhal... and many, many more.
