One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I was snorkling around a sailboat off the coast of an island, there was the sound of whales. I tried to mimic their sounds. The sounds became louder and through the haze of the water, I could see a large whale and a calf. The calf swam under me, paused, and looked at my face with its black orb of an eye before swimming off to rejoin the large whale. Then I remembered to breathe...
